Hello forum. I fear I may have made a scary, but very cool purchase!
Enter Mercury Cyclone.....a few pictures in a bit.....

QQ...interior is really rough.....split-bench/bench needs new foam and covers.....where to get new seat foam?? I reckon covers from a 70 Torino will be fine. But, where to get seat foam?

Congratulations on the new Cyclone!!  Post some photos when you have a chance.  I would think one of the vendors John listed should have one, if they repop the foam.  Otherwise, you could see if a local upholstery shop can make you some new foam and properly fit the new seat covers.  Lots of time the repopped seat covers need some work to make them look really good.

Hello forum....my Cyclone should be prepairing to ship now.
Please take a look at the wheels in the picture. Are they readily available somewhere? I would like 15x7\15x8...Ford bolt pattern.

Are they Western Wheel Turbines...? Or...? Any info appreciated. Thanks.

I promise to post pictures of my car soon, Wink

I have never seen those reproduced (doesn't mean they aren't, I have just never seen them), so you may have to go used.

You need to get some project threads going on this Cyclone and the Torino so we can follow along!!  Wink

QQ.....what size (Ford) cars are Cyclones considered? ‘Full-size’ or ‘intermediate size’?

I need a few parts for my car.....mainly looking at 70 Torino. Should I be looking at 70 Galaxie/xl/LTD?

Interior screw kits and such....

The Cyclone is an intermediate car, essentially the twin to a Ford Torino. They are basically the same car under the skin. Look at parts for 1970 to 71 Ford Torinos.

not sure what the cyclone has but would be the same as a 70/71 torino! probably would have a D0 or D1 number??? D4 is a 74 and up number  would that work IDK??? may be similar or could be way different?!!!  i'd find the correct fitting one before you spend$$$ shipping something that largeWink

John is probably correct.  I don't have the parts catalog in front of me, but that part will likely not fit.  They do make repro 429 shrounds.  Here is one here:

If you need the Ford part number for it, I can get it for you later.

The car is `special` in one way...it has a Landau Roof.....its kind off a `half vinyl` roof.
Hopefully the car is in reasonably sound condition. This car will get the `full` treatment too.
It is a Cali` car...so should be less rust, I guess. Car ended up in Canada where I found it.

Nice Cyclone, looks great! It looks like that vinyl top was a dealer option, since it's not on the Marti.  Those tops were called "halo" tops.  You have two really cool cars.Thumbs Up

I have searched the `net high and low.....I have not been able to find a single picture of a Cyclone or Torino with thos kind of roof.

I will try to keep it, as I think it will look really good.

Big question...should I get a rear deck spoiler for the car? I like the clean look, but the Cyclone looks really cool with deck spoiler.

The car doesnt have the scoop hood....just the clean smooth hood.

Look here for Fan Shroud, etc.  I've purchased a number of parts for Torino that also fit Cougars.
