Just welded up the new stainless exhaust with borla mufflers.  It sounds so much better now.   I can hear the engine now at idle and it still has a nice growl at idle.   Yet when you romp on the throttle it opens up nicely.

I have a new found respect for good exhaust installers.  That was a real chore assembling and welding up the stainless exhaust.   I certainly improved my welding skills doing it myself.  I still have to finish the tailpipes through the valence.   Was thinking some cutouts would look nice.  Haven't decided. yet.

Almost ready for a test ride with the 5speed.   Have to do some finish work installing brackets to hold the hydraulic clutch lines, etc.

Awesome work John!  I need to do exhaust on my car after the new engine and headers.  Please share a video on the sound with the Borla's, as I am not sure what I am doing yet for exhaust.

Too bad that article was an April Fools day prank (April 1, 2016) That car would be cool.
The above post should be read in a "Grumpy Old Man" voice.

Oh damn....bummer.
I would have actually been motivated to buy that.   Ford is to slow and conservative to bring out retro models.   They focus on the toaster grocery getter models and the extreme.   The new GT40 is really cool but the average guy can't afford that much less Ford hand selects the people to get the limited production (obviously Jay Leno is on that list).

LOL...I just read the last paragraph on that article.   Grrr.
