It looks like after you subtract the Starsky and Hutch cars out, Only 424 are left. Thats it for the 2B 1976 Gran Torino.

Both your Marti Report and the S&H Marti Report show the same number of 1729 cars built with the 2B paint code. About 1000 or so of those were the S&H model, I believe.

This is interesting. All of us know that Ford built these 1972 - 1976 cars with no set rigid rules, so I'm not the least surprised at the 2B. Adding to further confusion were different appearance packages that would blur the lines between Torino and Gran Torino levels. My '76 is an example of this: 2M red, standard Torino with a special appearance package that added the Gran Torino interior (cloth or vinyl), 1/2 vinyl roof, painted pinstripes, Sport wheelcovers, Torino nameplate delete, opera windows, AM radio, Sport mirrors, body side moldings, deluxe bumpers with guards, extra sound deadener, whitewall tires, and more. To the casual observer, there was no visible difference between the Gran Torino and the Torino with this package. In fact, the Gran Torino nameplate, rocker moldings and the moldings between the taillights were the only difference. I have owned 2 of these cars with this package, both made within days of each other. Picture attached of the 2nd one I bought. The previous owner peeled off the vinyl roof to keep it from rusting. The last picture is another '76 with this package that matches my original '76 exactly. Only certain colors were available with this package (2M red, White, Silver, and maybe a couple more).
