that's the spot where most aftermarket deep / extra capacity oil pans don't fit our crossmember,
 
even for factory installed engines

He's not using the stock frame though. He's putting a Coyote 5.0 in a 4.6 Crown Vic frame.

I mounted the alternator up today. I wanted to use the police interceptor alternator for one because they are cheaper new and because i already have a known good one. Took some modification to the cam cover though, good thing I work with a machinist and have access to a milling machine.


Ignore the mismatched random hardware and unpainted brackets, it's still in mockup
