The passenger quarter panel on my 72 GTS was non existent, so John hooked my up with one from a 74.

The only issue I am having is the 72 quarter panel trim was held in place, with the clips that go on a nail head appearing piece of metal. But the 74 quarter does not have these nail head mounting spots.

What are the alternatives for attaching quarter trim?

Thanks guys

I am not a body guy, so some of the other son this forum with more experience might have a better answer.  However, years ago when I worked at a dealership I had to replace a fender on my DD I had at that time.  The used fender didn't have the mounting pins for the trim, so the bodyman that was helping me just used 3M double sided tape to fasten it to the body.  It took a few layers to build it up thick enough, but it held that trim on very well.  And we were able to perfectly line it up with the trim on the door, as sometimes the clips and pins don't line up perfect from piece to piece.

Maybe someone else will have a better answer, but that's all I got!  Good luck.

you should be able to use some masking tape to locate where the clips need to go the drill an 1/8" hole, and use pop rivets to hold the clips where they need to be Wink i've seen some factory pieces with pop rivets and nail head studs and many dealer added trim was pop riveted too
