heck for the price,it's cheap enough to buy it and try it out before you remove the stock antenna off your car.I was thinking about installing a power antenna on my car.

This is one of the things I intend to try in my car since I have a cut and paste antenna cable. I think you have to run power to it but it's one of those like you'd see on motorcycles to improve reception.

I don't about the ones sold now,but the older amplified antennas made a back round noise. So I took a regular antenna and repositioned it behind my grill. My torino ex cop car never came with a radio and I did not want to drill a hole in the fender or body. There are hidden non amplified models good for both AM/FM stations for motorcycles. That would be great behind a grill since they are designed to be mounted in front of the handle bars of a Harley.

I picked up an OLD SCHOOL antenna...

FORD script half way up the antenna for a couple bucks at the local junkyard.
I guess I should get a pic for ya.
Will HAVE to put a set screw on it so it sits right and is not easily steal-able!

I was going to use one of these on the GT. The stock antenna is still connected to the original AM radio up front.
The Secret Audio system will be in the trunk hidden so I'll need an antenna back there hidden as well.
