Maybe I can make a car show in Birmingham or the one held at Tannehill State park and you can make a run down to see it. I'll have to look into that.

Going to post a few pictures on the completed projects board instead of here.  I'm not done with the car, but it may be a while before I do the other planned modifications. right now I'm enjoying it at it's current level, so I went ahead and took some nice shots of it at our local lake.

Once upon a time someone told me/shared a part number for a tank filler neck "doughnut" seal for 74-76 Torinos. It was a crossover part since none of the usual sources offer one. I think it was for a certain year Mustang?

I think I found it:

E1AZ 9072-A

Looks like it was used on a ton of cars.  Fullsize Fords, Mustangs IIs, Pintos, Granadas.  Should be a common part.

Well'''kinda...he didn't post a brand or part # just that he got one for a newer car model that worked perfect on his ranchero. I took that info. and tried to order one from the local parts house and they couldn't find one by application, so I'm still on the hunt for an actual part number and company name.

I hate it when this happens. I should have made a note of it myself, because I knew I would need it some day. I think I have found the information I need though, I called the local Ford dealer with the number above and they could not find it, but the same exact number ending in B came up as a good number for a filler neck seal and after looking back at the FB posted information, he said he purchased one for an 84 Crown Vic that worked perfectly. Ford cross checked it and P#  E1AZ 9072-B does indeed fit an 84 Crown Vic. Hopefully I'm good, they had it in stock for $16, so I'll know today.

That number I quoted was from the Ford Master Parts Catalog.  Sometimes the numbers are obsolete and replaced by more new ones.  Or I may have made a typo.  The one that you ordered should work.  I recall seeing that it fit on the 1979+ LTD/Crown Vic's too.  It was a pretty universal part.
