Fun Ford Weekend presented by JE Pistons and Roush Yates June 29, 2012 - June 30, 2012 Fun Ford Weekend presented by JE Pistons and Roush Yates is back at Bristol Dragway and it’s better than ever. High-performance racing action, Ford’s sweetest street machines and extreme exhibition vehicles make the June 29-30 event one of the most exciting Ford events around.   Action begins on Friday with a test and tune session open to all manufacturers. The day also includes Ford vs. The World, an event that pits the Fords against all comers. Ford fans should come cheer their favorite brand to victory over the invading Chevys and Mopars. Electronics and non-electronics will run separate in Ford vs. The World competition until there are four cars remaining in each class. The classes then will be combined to determine the ultimate champion. Exciting Ford-only competition continues on Saturday in Fast Ford (Electronics), Quick Ford (Non-Electronics), Street Ford (1/4 mile), True Street, Mustang Street Fight, Tuff Truck and the Virginia Lasers Shootout. True Street racers will follow a police escort on a predetermined route throughout the local area to prove their machines are street-worthy. Once they return, they’ll battle to see which can run closest to its index. The Mustang Street Fight Class is open to any street-legal Ford vehicle. Trophies will be awarded for quickest elapsed time, best reaction time and best appearing. Yesterday’s classics, as well as today’s favorites, will be on hand in the car show display area on Saturday. Participants and spectators can enjoy a parking lot full of the hottest Ford show cars and drag cars. Any Ford die-hard looking for special memorabilia or those hard-to-find parts also will want to check out the vendors’ midway and the swap meet and car corral. Car Show Registration
