You have to love how all the American made cars come together to fight the imports. As much as I dislike General Mistakes, I find myself cheering for them. I am such a redneck and love this show!

Ha. I am a Honda/Nissan guy any day over a Chevy. Pontiac or Buick might sway me, but the rest of GM's lineup can fall to a Zero, LOL.

No way that I could pull for a Honda or a Nissan. Just unamerican. Sorry Joe.

As a VW and Honda owner and owner of more "General Mistakes" than Fords, I can't say I watch this show much.

Durocco is awesome

No problem. I have owned a bunch of GM cars and trucks including Classics (L82 Vette, several Stage 1 Buicks, several GTO's, SS Chevelles, etc) and the only GM that proved to be a good one was the S10 "Stranger" I sold 2 years ago. However, my experience with Hondas and Nissans (boosted and otherwise) has been awesome. Still is even now. Wish I could feel right pulling for a GM but they have emptied my wallet and left me stranded far too many times, Lol.

I am not much of a GM fan myself but our old roadmaster wagon (263,000 K) has proven itself to be a pretty good ride. Bought it new and while it needed a few things I feel this car owes us nothing. My wife drive a nissain altima and that too has been a very good car. I all depends on a lot of veriables I guess. Buying the car from new helps (sometimes). Used cars no matter what are a crap shoot. I have had many nice looking fords that where beat and had to throw big bucks at to get running right (but still loved them anyway)

I do love me a good early Rabbit, though. Omni GLHS is another good pocket rocket. The Rabbit I had was a base hatch and was a good little ride that cost me nothing. Fun for $0.00. The few Shelby Chargers and Omnis are an absolte blast to drive. Keep oil and water in them and you have a winner. Boost those puppies and better have something good to run against them.

I had an 85 GTI that was pretty fast with the 1.8. Wasn't the best at snowy driving, so the X-11 did that.

Had a non-turbo GLH that would walk all over quad 4 equipped Beretta's.  Also had a non turbo Shelby charger and two 87 turbo Shelby chargers.  Put a Centerforce clutch and a direct connection max performance computer in the garnet red one.  it'd roll smoke off the tires 1st, 2nd and into third gear.  with 190k on it.  also had an 84 Daytona turbo Z.  Black with a red cloth interior.  The red Laser XT was also 2.2 Turbo.  ALL of these were 5 speeds.  The turbo shelby chargers were the wifes daily drivers as was this Laser.  Found this laser in a junkyard i frequented.  The owner let me mess with it.  Bought it from there, had new cv shafts brakes and tires put on and drove it for a year.  The owner thought the oil light came on but it was actually the ligght for the check engine.  the plastci in the cluster didnt get glues properly in place at the factory.  replaced the IAT and light went out.  Thumbs Up  SCORE!  Only had about 1300 into it back in 1996 i think it was.

Cheering for an import would be like cheering for another country in the olympics. We may fight a little amongst ourselves but you outsiders best leave us alone.

A couple other things the euro guys/girls have done:

Engine bay shaving

Purposely rusting the vehicle
