I'm hoping some guys chime in here, because my back up lights have never worked on my wagon and I have not really messed with it because I'm not sure where to start other than checking the bulbs. Maybe someone can explain in further detail the wiring schematic and how to go about correcting the problem.

Welcome to the forum. If you have no power to the reverse lights, check that your reverse switch is getting power and that the switch is working properly. See this screenshot from the wiring diagram below. You should be able to follow the diagram to check the wiring and switch.
We also have all kinds of wiring diagrams to download here: |

ok, taking a quick look at the diagram... white with a purple stripe is the fused power supply to the switch, with the key on check for power there! if no power check the fuse ( i think it's labeled back up) if theres power on both sides of that fuse it's good, post where you have power at those 3 points and i can tell further where to check to narrow it down
