1972 torino sport  console shift  c6 transmission  with seatbelts light buzzer back up lights were working .  My son went to back the car out the other day and a notice that they weren't I check power nothing to bulb,   ground is good when i jump12 volts to connector thumbs light . I found the back up neutral switch but not sure how to check it or what the wiring set up is . Also fuse is good power on both sides . HELP PLEASE  looking for a wiring diagram for 1972 sport with floor/console  shift

I'm hoping some guys chime in here, because my back up lights have never worked on my wagon and I have not really messed with it because I'm not sure where to start other than checking the bulbs. Maybe someone can explain in further detail the wiring schematic and how to go about correcting the problem.

Welcome to the forum.  If you have no power to the reverse lights, check that your reverse switch is getting power and that the switch is working properly.  See this screenshot from the wiring diagram below. You should be able to follow the diagram to check the wiring and switch.

ok, taking a quick look at the diagram... white with a purple stripe is the fused power supply to the switch, with the key on check for power there! if no power check the fuse ( i think it's labeled back up) if theres power on both sides of that fuse it's good, post where you have power at those 3 points and i can tell further where to check to narrow it downWink
