The aluminum arms are Metco arms.  They don't offer any spherical bearings and I personally think the Spohn arms are a much better design, especially with the adjustment for the pinion angle.

I'd agree on the Spohn arms. They are on my parts list of things to get for my 9" upgrade.
Metco arms are more geared towards the drag racing crowd, but I'd gladly take a set for free :)
