Yes, this appears to be the correct dipstick for the '73 351cj. Maybe one of the other members will know this for sure and/or can look at their part and confirm this.
The DOAE 6750 A was also used on the 1970 351 cleveland M-Code engines.

This part number is the same part number for the dipstick that is also used on the 1972 and 1973 351 Cleveland H-Code 2 barrel engines.
If someone can confirm for sure that they had used the same exact dipsticks on the 1972 and 1973 351 Cleveland H-Code 2 barrel engines and the 1970 351 Cleveland M-Code engines, as they did on the '73 351 cj engines (they most likely did though) then this is the correct dipstick for your engine.

1975 351W had a total capacity including filter of four quarts. Terrible idea on fords part, but that engine did last 235000 with regular oil changes.

my two AFAIK stock 351C dipsticks are the same PN as Dave's mine don't have the 'M' after the Ford logo, mine have an 'A' and a 'B'
tape measure is even with the top of the handle loops shiny stick is Transdapt 9223 which has issues with the tube BTW, but the stick itself is pretty close to factory except the add mark is a little high meaning you'd add a Qt sooner than you would with the factory stick Edited by Rockatansky - 30-August-2014 at 4:25PM |

Well I used the old school bumper jack on the drivers side to jack her up so im thinking a qt stayed in the pan.also I only warmed it up for 2 minutes or so.definitely a Cleveland, right dipstick ,tube not sure on nor pan.Maybe one of these is wrong or I just don't know how to change oil anymore.

mine are right at 24 1/2" long overall, could that extra 1/2"explain the missing Qt?
how is the 'wave' section at the top on yours, does it fill & grip the dip tube or is it flat & beat out if your wave is flat that could be the extra length & missing Qt
