The D5MY-2B257-A is for a 1975 mercury Marquis with rear disc brakes.
It is a ford and mercury pressuse differential valve. It is the same exact valve as the part number D6AZ-2B257-E .

I cannot find any information at all on the D5MA-2B328-A2B part number. Maybe one of the other members will know.
But many times there is the service part number and the engineering part number. The service part number might be D5MY-2B257-A and the engineering part number might be D5MA-2B328-A2B? Are these two different valves that you are asking about? Or are both of those part numbers printed on the same valve? I have found an application for a D5MA-2B328-AB part number (notice that there is no number 2 in the part number). It is a combination proportioning valve and differential valve. It measures 6 inches long by 3 inches high, it is usually used for a drum brake to disc brake conversion on ford and mercury vehicles. The part number is from 1975.

Thanks for the answers! I bought one nos and wanted to confirm its application. gonna use it on my torino to change to 4 wheel disc. Seller has some more of these nos if anyone is interested. They are $ 175.

I'm working at the 79 Lincoln Mark brake swap too. The biggest setback was the bolt pattern but I solved that by just going with different wheels. Luckily I had a donor car so pulling everything off was a breeze. I think I'll be pawning off all my 5 on 4.5 stuff one of these days.

ya... mostly bolt on. That proportioning valve shown above is going to be part of the swap too (if it is the same one). Lot more cool stuff with the swap, but that's for another post
I should check my Lincoln proportioning valve part numbers and see if they are the same...
