started the car, checked all the lights, etc. everythings working great, turn on the stereo "mis wiring check and reset" WTF! Censored "you have got to be kidding me!"
i suspect the problem is in the front speakers (maybe an issue with them in the kick panels, wire grounding out???) Angry i'll look into that later Angry Confused

Ah, Now I remember seeing that one. Was hoping you were going to do some more, like from the drivers perspective, but it definitely looks like a vast improvement. I want to convert my Ranchero's head lights in the future.

thanks guys! i'm not totally done yet, still have the back seat to get done (never got over there to check on it,spent most of the day working on a mopar Confused engine swap in a buddy's 4x4 truck never got it out yet, pulled the drain plug for the oil and got a "shower" of coolant Shocked Thumbs Down) and i still need to contact someone with a milling machine to make me a custom billet bracket for my alternator to match the p/s one on the torino.
as far as next projects--probably paint the celica next, so i don't have to hear "when are you going to paint that"? anymore! get the "farm truck" fired up again and replace the calipers and brake hoses then replace all the rusted areas and paint it, i could go on and on!
and i'm sorta on the look out for a 69 gto even though i told myself "no more projects" Wink

brian: i'll try and get a shot of the lights from behind the wheel (never thought of that!)

Top notch work John!  I can't believe how much you got done over the year.  Have you got to cruise in it yet?  It looks like you don't have bad weather there, not like our -20 degree and 4 feet of snow.

John, what are you using for heater hose retainers? could you give a close up of them? and are they attached to the rt inner fender skirt? Are they 3/4 heater hoses? Looks nice!

paul: tires are 275/60/15 rear 235/50/15 front i'll have to go with 235/60/15's when those wear out the bfg euro t/a's aren't available any more(those were a pair that i had laying around for years

vince: i did drive it christmas eve (day) to get the windows tinted, and a short 2 block trip up to the corner street the other night to sling a little gear oil around in the new differential. it's very quiet inside now(like a new car) !!! yes we've had awesome weather here hardly any freezing, snow or rain (very rare) most days lately have been in the 50's down to 40's overnight Big smile hell even last summer here was quite awesome hardly any rain (we skipped the monsoon season) nice from april - november only a couple of weeks of rain in that time (again very rare) maybe we are finally getting that "global warming" that Al Gore promised! LOL

john: those hose separators are from jegs made by billet specialties they come in several sizes and combinations of sizes no they just go around the hoses but i have one rubber dipped clamp thing holding the hose to the fender well so they don't shake and rub the fender well
here's a link directly to billet specialties: (read the red tech tip note about sizing)

and for extra insurance, added a dense felt peel and stick pad:

...and added extra extra insurance, heat shrink tubing over the speaker connections:

...reinstalled speakers, and while adjusting the stereo settings after a few minutes, the sub quit  if it ain't one thing, it's ten more!!!
