what did you do on the trunk floor? is it flat? did you use material/filler in the low spots to make it flat?

i know, i know!
i said that when i got the vette...it's not going to be all chromed out, just something nice that i can drive...weeeell one thing led to another...and...
so then i got the torino, and said i'll paint it nice and not all chromed out ,this time i'll have something that i can drive...well i got into it that far and one thing led to another, then i saw something that just wasn't acceptable...well we'll make that a little bit better...and then it became an obsession! so here we are  (again)

i been working on one more item for the torino (every night this week) it's almost finished...Wink

found an 1 1/8" front sway bar for my car today at that private yard Big smile PITA getting it off with a dull hacksaw blade Angry (couldn't get to the link bolt nuts on the bottom as the car was sitting on rims underneath the rotors) and f-ing blackberry vines growing up through everywhere!!! swampy muddy grass too!!!!Angry but after about a 1/2 hour, i got it Clap oh and it was way too muddy to drive in the field-- so several trips back to my rig for more tools across 400 yards of swampy muck (uphill too) Wacko

it doesn't look like that in the pic, and it doesn't look like that much of a slope but that area is about the same as walking on a 3:12 pitched roof!!!

joe, the only things left on the list are: (1) get the sway bar on...(2) get the speedo right (just put a 16 tooth gear on the cable...closer but still will need a ratio adapter to get it the rest of the way) then she's DONE! Clap

revised list:
(1) install larger front sway bar   (DONE)
(2) correct speedometer reading (DONE)
(3) billet alternator bracket          (DONE) finally! 9/9/15 ******Big smile
(4) larger rear sway bar???          (DONE)

what does increasing the front bar do to handling, make it go more towards Understeer or Oversteer ?

I'm thinking more oversteer, would throttle / brake have any effect?

seems like they set up cars for the general masses to have throttle understeer / brake oversteer for safety

still better! but if i was to find a size larger rear bar that would be nice Wink the rear of my car stays quite level even being raised, i guess boxing the rear lower arms really made a difference! i wouldn't have thought that, but seems to have.

i just swapped bars, now just waiting for the new urethane bushings from summit in a few days
