Pull the case apart and paint it the correct off white color.... Mine was a bit off color (a real light tan-nicotine stains? LOL) when I got it and that's what I did. I'll see if I can find an after shot to show ya.

John,

Here's my Micor head unit & speaker that I took apart and painted with my NOS mic attached....

notice that I masked off the center area of the speaker to maintain the MOTOROLA logo and you can see the color difference.

Here is my resprayed head unit with a NOS speaker I scored....

as you can see the color is pretty close... even the mic & speaker aren't exact and they are NOS!

And lastly (Ouch finally), my head unit and speaker with my NOS handset attached.....

Looking forward to getting these installed in my FINISHED RIDE.... soon??? Confused

today i finally got my butt around to ordering a new door tag sticker from marti Big smile(acid bath removed the original Cry)

Here ya go..........

"Paul Michael Glaser (STARSKY) will be at the 2016 Ford Nationals along with Antonio Fargas (HUGGY BEAR). On Sunday the 5th, Paul will be doing something never done before. He will drive your S&H Torino for a short ride around the Carlisle track with you riding shotgun and your wife or husband in the back seat.

The fee for this is $100 for him to sign your car and $100 to drive it around the track, so for $200 you can say and have pictures and a video of the REAL STARSKY driving your car. Keep in mind, this is a first and probable last time this will ever happen, so plan ahead to get all your memorabilia and car signed and driven by Starsky. Everyone please contact Steven Louis Bordi to be put on the list."

I saw you post on cowl repair in another thread.

Needless to say, not a good day for my work as I spent at least 4 hours viewing this thread in it's entirety.

Went start to finish, all 93 pages.

Really nice job.

Talent, skills, patience, determination and a pile of sweat.

Very well done!
