Hi Guys
I have 15x7 rims for the front and 15x8 rims for the rear. Anyone know what size tires fill the rear well and will fit without issues in the front? Thanks |

I think some have used larger than this but...
I am planning to use this tire size based on experience of Picon3 who is using this on Lazarus. Front: 255/60-15 Rear: 275/60-15 Also note that in 15 inch, you have limited options. For example I do not believe you can get a 245/70 anymore, etc. A different front/rear tire size eliminates the ability to rotate tires. An added cost due to tire wear, but I am ok with it (as many others are also).

I run 215/60s on the front and 275/50 on the rear of the Montego. The rim sizes are the same as yours.

My Montego wagon has 15x8 Magnum 500 wheels on all 4 corners. With 255-60-15 tires up front, and 275-60-15 tires on the rear.
I wouldn't go any wider than that.

Wow. $1150 for the tires and rims? I just dropped $825 for the rims caps and lug nuts and I thought I did well. What kind of tires did you get for that price? Does anyone know if anyone repops the Goodyear or Firestone oem style tire in 15 diameter? If so are they radials or the old bias ply? Thanks for all the help. I now have a idea what sizes fit and have been used.

Cooper Cobra radial gt. I seen them on another members car and thought they looked great being they said cobra. Didn't care about performance. It's all about the look. .

I've used Cooper Cobras before. Great tire, and lower price than BF Goodrich. For repops, try Coker Tire. But, if price is a concern, you'll probably wanna stick with Coopers or BFGs. |

Looked at Coker. They make the oem style but not big enough for me. Price is up there also. I was thinking about BFF or coopers since I think I'm going with black side of tire facing out.

I have both brands of tires. BFG seem to wear a bit better, otherwise not a lot of difference until you step up to the high performance line.
Coker is local here. They have anything you can afford to buy...if your pockets are deep enough. Mine aren't, lol. Edited by unlovedford - 05-November-2013 at 1:50AM |

I'll be using BFG Radial TA's... 275/60R15's out back on 8.5x15 Americam Racing aluminum slots and 215/60R14's up front 14x6 factory aluminum slot mags.
