I think what you were trying to say is as you get older it's harder to get in and out of a two door. You are no spring chicken anymore mister.

LOL, nope. I heard myself "OOF" when I got into the Civic to move it the other day. Later, I made the "Arrugh" sound when I hoisted myself up into the F150 4X4. Sheesh.

Getting old is why I don't drive my T-Bird as much as I used to. When you are as tall as I am, getting into a car that low (comparatively) is a bit of a pain. Easier to hop in the truck. (Even if it IS a GMC)

i got the lower bushings and the swaybar bushings changed the other night. just did the pitman arm what a PITA! i did have to remove or at least tried to remove the steering box (pressure hose rusted to the swivel nut Angry and with my hidden 9,000# winch in the way, no way to get the box out) so i was able to tilt it just enough to impact the nut off and get the puller on it, pitman arm DONE but getting the box back into the steering shaft splines and into position, that's another story Angry about 2 hours total of screwing around to do a 10 minute job ( on most other vehicles)Confused oh, and did i mention... the steering shaft is only 1/8" from the front header tube. but with the 3" body lift, it sure makes stuff along the frame easier to work on Big smile

On my old F150, I had a plate with a bearing supporting the bottom of the pitman arm shaft. Got tired of the annual steering box replacement.

i shouldn't never need to replace this set up, that arm and pivot is a BRUTE! all the upgrades finished ready to go "wheelin" so who needs parts from that yard Wink

well while getting parts at that yard today, i found an older blazer with a good RH power window motor (i've been looking for one for the last few years) Big smile  he charged me pretty good for it Confused

but i was installing it, removed my window to tint it, got all done with the tint Thumbs Up put it back in and was holding it up to attach the regulator to it and BOOM the f**king window exploded!!! Censored Angry CryCryCry
i guess i tightened the bolts that go through the glass a little too tight Censored
i think i have a spare window out back in a parts truck? but now i'll have to order and wait for that pre cut tint Confused no sense putting it all back together just to take it back apart later Confused UNBELIEVABLE!!! AngryAngryAngryCryCryCry

well after some internet research for part interchangeability i came to the conclusion that the trucks and blazers were different, but i thought all the doors were the same? but tonight i measured the parts truck it appeared to be the same...so i pulled the glass from it and checked it in my door...they are exactly the same !!just as i thought LOL Clap at  least i don't have to buy another windowThumbs Up it hasn't even been 24 hours and a big damn spider had claimed the inside of my blazer Shocked ( i promptly evicted him Angry)

Far as I know the trucks didn't get power windows until the body change in 94 and the early blazers 83-86? Were manual.
I'll check the driver side motor I seem to remember it was different and better it came out of a 87. The ones used in 89 to 93 seem to be not as good IMO the contacts melt in the plastic causing a bad connection

I've had a few 1st gen S-10's with power windows. Liked them, favorites were extended cabs and Stranger. We still occasionally talk about that little truck and how good it was. Best Chevrolet I ever owned (probably because of the Ford in it).

Half Chevrolet S-10 and half Ford Ranger, hence the name Stranger. One of a kind truck with the heart of a lion.

Nope it's got power windows. Tahoe trim level...though the interior is quite a bit more ransacked now.
