I was up at the plaza by work at lunchtime today and saw this:

Apparently, the whole "Parking Lot" concept was confusing.

Then I saw where he was parked in front of...

probably true , they had to sell to the general public  like 500 cars  to race them .  right ? I remember the local  gas station had one out front  more as a sign than any thing , really who wanted to drive that thing around , and try parking it in a city ?  I thought it was awful ,    There are stories of dealers who got  those not being able to move them , just ordering noses pulling the foil and putting out as regular Chargers 0r selling  them cheap just  to move them out ,  That is a very fixable car and Sorry to say  worth waaaayyy more than any Gran Torino  to  the current Classic car guys

Somebody did this to a 70-71 Torino:

https://mashable.com/2014/04/17/3d-printed-ford-gran-torino-is-the-muscle-car-from-hell/#TiznNvIiFsq9

Then, there is the bronze 'Hippomobile'....made from a 1971 Mustang convertible. The creator included an apparatus whereby the tail would lift up and it would take a piss:

How about this thing....

Ran into my drummer from the 80's band I was in. He told me there is a mopar guy right down the street with two Superbirds. Blue/black and orange/black with hemis. Two hemi cudas as well. Gonna knock on his door and beg to look in his garage. Supposedly 4 cars wide and two deep. All mopar. Poor guy.

Man thats some strange $h!t
I have seen the hippomobile in the past. Cant figure how the builder thought this would be cute.
There was a lady at Reno Hot August Nights that had a 69 caddy ragtop that was covered with green frogs! She had this annoying frog horn that went non stop on cruise nights. I ALWAYS seemed to get positioned right ahead or beside her every year. I almost brought my 12 guage to take care of that damn frog horn! Some peoples kids, i tell ya!

I have seen the video on the goose neck bug before. That seems quite reasonable compared to the hippo mobile and the gargoyle thing.

On Superbirds/Daytonas...
When we were kids, early to mid 70s, there was a guy around the corner from my grandma with at least 3 Wing Cars. An orange one, a yellow one, and a blue one. Possibly a green one too.
He drove them year-round in Newark NJ.
My grandparents called them the "Clown Cars".
