but there'll be less to compress
think of each coil as a percentage of 'give' if the spring has 10 effective coils, each coil represents 10% of the total Give, Travel, Compression yada yada take away some of that & the spring is more reluctant or less able to do what it before, with that amount that is now removed it's a little hard to get your head around it at first but that's how it works

Question - How much can you drop the front end before it starts affecting the alignment?

everything is set off of ride height, that's the way the car sits on the rack while the alignment is performed. smart guys show up with about a 1/2 tank of gas and weight to represent the driver & 1/2 a passenger in the front seat. all 3 settings caster, camber & toe will be affected by lowering the front end Edited by Rockatansky - 17-September-2018 at 6:06AM |
