Bucket Seat Interchange R to L?

   So as I am driving the 75 Sport, I have realized that the driver seat is kaput. Foam and springs are broken down from years of use, and it is getting worse.

I am not in a position to take it to a shop and have it done right at this time. I will in the future, but I am looking for a more immediate solution at this time.

The passenger seat is in good shape.

I know you can't just stick one in the others place and vice-versa. However it is possible to take apart the seat (or part of it) and swap it onto the opposing seat? Or something along those lines which don't require major surgery or upholstery skills?
