I might need a bottom sill piece of chrome for the pass side door, mine is a smidge rough. Where could I find that piece? The outside piece I mean under the door.

you mean the rocker molding? they can be hard to find, i'm looking for the rear  passenger side one now, but the long side ones seem to interchange from side to side even though they claim there are rights and lefts. you could try NOS PARTS LTD, the guy told me he had 7 or 8 of the side ones they all had a slight bend in them??? he can send you pics of the piece, IIRC they were $120 each i never saw pics of those so???IDK how bad the crease in those are? but could be worth a phone call to them (i posted their info in the venders section)

I've decided on 235/60/15 for the front and 275/60/15 for the rear. I checked the BFG site and it lists the 275's at a diameter of 71.1cm and the 235's at 66.3 cm diameter. I want the rear end up a bit. Going with Ansen sprint mags, 15x7 in front and 15x8 in back. And of course the BFG radials.
That tire size difference should give a the car a fair bit of rake.  You can always swap out the rear springs too if the new tires don't give you enough rake.  They are still readily available at parts vendors.  I have family not too far from you in the Brantford area.  Good luck with your project.

Part ordered from classic car auto parts. I just went under the gas tank and looked at the unit. One line. Easy peasy.

There's a good possibility that that your brass float has a hole in it, and is satuated with fuel. Does the gauge remain on empty all the time?

The old one did, mechanic told me the new gauge works but I need a sending unit. That's all I know. This is the last item it needs to pass it's safety.

Sending unit was shipped yesterday, hopefully get it next week. In the mean time my rims and tires are in, Yay. Approve However the tire shop is 75 miles away and it's still not safetied without that sending unit. Thumbs Down So I have to wait until it's safetied to take it in for it's wheel package install. I will try to get it to exhaust guy next week while I wait for the part. Concurrent activity as we said in the Air Force. Also, I'm hoping to get it to my painter next weekend for his estimate.

Sending unit came in today, going to the mechanic tomorrow to finish the safety check, finally. Quote on the new exhaust is $1100 plus tax for a stainless dual exhaust setup. Going to painters Sat for his estimate.

I have no idea on the grade of stainless. Is there a big difference? The anodized aluminum was $300 less.
