Hey Folks,

My name is Jan, but most US buddies call me J or Matt. I live in Switzerland now and just recently joined the forum on the search for my dream Torino: a 72 sportsroof, preferably with an original 429. I currently have a 69 Mustang Sportsroof and a 68.5 CJ Mustang project.

If and when I finally find the car I'll have a bunch more questions for all you Torino experts!

Later, J

Hey lynchster,

Yea... If I get impatient I may end up doing that. I saw a gorgeous, blue GTS with a 521 cui monster on ebay recently. I was reeeeally close to bidding on it. Build quality looked excellent, but I decided I'd hold out for an original N code.

As for pics of my current and past rides: www.hub-raum.ch

The site is only in German at the moment. Both the 69 GT and the CJ are listed as "For Sale"... the prices are more or less in-line with Swiss high market values and Swiss high expectations =) I don't really mind if neither one ever sells though =) The story is this: I started a small (part time Fridays/Saturdays) restoration shop with a friend of mine about a year ago. They're both listed just to give the site some more content. As for the shop... we work with teens and young adults in need of a second or third chance in life. We can't actually pay our teens for their work but we try to pull some strings for them to get paid internships, apprenticeships, etc. Their cost of living and such is covered by unemployment benefits but it's not much and the office doesn't do much to try and give them something sensible to do in order to keep them out of trouble =) Some have quite the history or rap sheet but we've really seen some light up at the chance of working with their dream cars. We've got an old truck on the way (or soon to be on the way) from the US which will be their project car until we get some paid work coming in.
