The bottom of the Montego door is toast. I was wondering what other doors I could use as a transplant.

I am almost positive that the 1974, 1975 and 1976 Cougar and ford gran Torino ELITE (NOT THE REGULAR GRAN TORINO/NON-ELITE'S) lower doors are the same. The regular 1972 through 1976 ranchero, torino and gran torino "NON-ELITE" lower doors are probably different. So it will probably have to be a 1974-1976 cougar or gran torino ELITE lower door.
It might also be possible that the 1977, 1978 and 1979 thunderbird, ranchero, cougar and LTD II (lower doors) are similar, but i am not 100% sure about this part/subject. Hopefully one of the other members will know for sure.

Dan the Ranchero man's Ranchero has a Montego clip on it, and it lines up with the doors fine. The whole door will not interchange, as the 72-76 window line lifts up near the back of the doors, but the bottom should be the same...

There is a picture below of a 1977 through 1979 ranchero door, as you can see the lower to middle portions of the door are very similar to the 74-76 cougar, montego and gran torino elite. But the upper part of the door is different than them.

I'm betting that the lower section would work. Ford wasn't too creative back then and re-used a lot of tooling.

Those pictures were actually pretty helpful. I had intended to use this doorskin on my old Ranchero but turns out it's for the coupes.
