Hi Guys from Sydney Australia - I am sure I am not the only ozzy member - recently bought my 72 Ranchero Squire from an importer in Queensland - rough - straight - no rust - 351C 4V Q Code - I am in love - needs a lot of work - this forum rocks and looks like the right place for help for me and my project
Cheers Chris

Welcome!  Is the Q-code the original engine for the Squire?  That would be one rare truck, I don't think they would have made many Squire Q-codes.  It would be neat to see the Mart Report on that.

Post some pics.

Welcome
Marilyn - '72 Ranchero 500 - known her since I was born, and traveled across the states in her; first in the back, then as the driver. Under restoration (and a little modification)

Thanks for the warm welcome guys - Years back I owned a 1969 428 CJ R Code Mustang - loved that car but life dictates - anyhow from that experience I understand ford engine codes that's when I stumbled across this old girl with Marti Report at a very good price for a car landed - yes she need a lot of work but I am looking forward to it. Once I work out how to upload I will

Welcome!  1 of 358 with that engine/trans combo.  Very cool.

Do you have the missing trim for the driver's side fender?  How about the passenger's side?  That can be very difficult to find.

I highly recommend the "Specialized Report" from Marti.  It really breaks down your car, and lets you know just how rare (or not) your particular model is.  This is the one from my GTS:

Hi All - Yep I am pretty happy - she needs a lot of work - won't be turning heads for a little while - but a good starting point - I have to reno the bathrooms at home before I can get stuck into it - otherwise the boss will have my guts for garters

Does anyone know the best place apart from EBAY to start looking for a set of front fender moulds both sides - any good parts hunters or salvage yards?
Cheers Chris

I think he means the Squire moulding, equally as scarce, if not scarcer?

Hi Guy's - They are the 72 Squire moulds I am looking for - I know they will be a bugger to find - I see bits and pieces on ebay but not what I need - I saw some 73's last week surprise, surprise but they don't fit a 72 - I come across a picture of a tree hugger - if you punch in 1972 Gran Torino tree hugger - it appeared in a mag - Old Cars Weekly - posted  by a Johns Salvage Missouri - posted in August 2014 - so not that long ago -  if you look him up you get a mobile number - I texted him but he never got back - unloved - if the car is there you might find what you are looking for - people get scared off by international interest they see it as a hassle
Cheers Chris
