I'm looking for a motor for my torino. I found a listing I'm interested in. Thoughts?

From the listing:

I have a rebuilt 429 big block engine on stand with new pistons,

bored 30 over with lots of parts, block, heads, intake, valve covers,

valves, also engine stand included. Has been sitting a while so may

want to dissaemble and clean up and lube everything before finishing

the build. It is from a 1972 Ford Torino. Asking $750 for everything as

is

Not a bad price, just make sure all the needed parts are there like timing cover, harmonic balancer including spacer and etc. Gaskets will be $150-$250 depending on specifics, a "good" cam and lifters are at least another $200 & up. Missing parts adds up $$ fairly quickly. Are the pistons forged, hypers or cast? If the heads are stamped DOVE-C =Very Good, D3VE-A2A=Good, D2VE=NOT Good(highly prone to detonation due to having no quench pad). I would try $500 1st and work up from there, this price really depends on the parts' condition. Good luck! Todd

Yeah, It's a Hybrid...It burns gas and tires.

Ditto to what he^ said. Not a bad price at all especially if everything's there.
