Soon (I hope) I'll be ordering all the various decals I'll need to start relabeling the Tomato. One decal that is not being reproduced is the '74-'76 Tire Pressure decal. I have a local sign shop that says they can recreate it IF I can provide them a nice clean original (IF I could find a nice original, I wouldn't need a repop! LOL).

I'm pretty sure the decal is the same across the board (2 door or 4 door) so is anyone parting out a 74-76 Torino that has a very nice and intact decal that the surrounding panel isn't quite up to snuff that they would be willing to cut out around the label?

I saw in the original GONE IN 60 SECONDS how to use heat lamps to soften the decal adhesive to get the label off the panel so I'll give that a try in peeling the decal off the carrier.

THANKS GUYS

maybe someone can take a clear picture of thiers for you...
put a ruler below it to get scale, and it shouldn't be hard to reproduce.

is the info different on the stickers from 73 to 76? bias vs radials??? or something like that? because IIRC the tire pressure stickers were fairly generic in appearance?

joe, is that your sticker? if you can measure the height and width to figure the scale for lines and font size, they should be able to repop that from the photo as it shows all the info!!! Wink

Max,

The 72-73 is different from the 74-76 decal.

John,

When I was stripping my car I did a half assed search for the various decals and when I saw that Dearborn offered a '76 460 Torino decal set, I ASS-U-ME-d the decals were correct and I stripped off my excellent original with the paint. Cry

So now I need another nice one to either peel and stick back onto my car or use as a master to recreate the artwork so I can get them duplicated. Ouch

Guys, I was wrong about the years... I guess the decal is '76 specific! The original '75 decal CJ sent me is isn't like the one I have pictured so that narrows the search field quite a bit!

THANKS ALL

Here is the original tire pressure decal on my '76

The decal is a bit askew on the car....I am guessing that it was applied by hand...Let me know if you need any thing else...If you need a color hard copy on paper of the decal in its exact size I can send you one in the mail A.S.A.P   ...just p.m me with your home address.

now i'm curious... i don't remember mine having all the small lettering like the one i sent to joe i believe it looked like the 76 ^^^
normally i wouldn't care about stickers in the door jams as i'm usually doing a smooth custom job, but since my car is as close to an original restoration as any car i own, now i'm finding myself obsessing over this decal too Confused damn you joe! see what you started LOLLOLLOL

anyone with a 74 can you post a pic of the 74 decal!!!! i'd like to compare them...
