This popped up again?

As much as I LOVE the car and all that it is. The handicap usable stuff and the owner has another one.

The History Channel AND The Restoration Shop BULLsh*tTED US!!!

The car you see finished was done quite a few years ago, 2010 or around there.
The show was filmed and aired last year.

The original car IN THE SHOW, the rotted out busted down pile of rotted worthless car IS NOT the car they restored!!
They looked at the original cars years ago to determine if it was do-able and decided it wasn't so they found another to restore.
I did not know this when I watched the show and all the advertisement leading up to the show. I was excited to see the transformation and the documentary of it.
Watching the show I saw A LOT of things that just did NOT make any sense.
The biggest stand out was them filming the shop talking about trying to fit the door hinges.
They were marking and welding the hinges and how hard it was BUT the car, jams and door were ALREADY painted and the passenger door was already installed on the other side in the shots.
They "COMPLETELY" sand blasted the car yet in the show it was not even CLOSE to being blasted clean and they did not remove all the pieces before they blasted it. Besides it only took them a SHORT amount of time. Then ZERO filming of ANY sheet metal repairs, pre-fitting, body work, sanding, priming, painting or assembly.

So I started asking questions and found that this car had been a SHOW WINNER 5 YEARS EARLY, was on the show circuit and a cruise night regular LONG before they ever drug the rotted original out and filmed the show!
REALLY PISSED OFF THAT THE HISTORY CHANNEL DID THIS!

Brian is a good guy, he is on other Torino FB Pages, has 2 GORGEOUS cars, I am sure the shop does great work(they did the finished car you see) but THEY DID NOT MAGICALLY RESURRECT A ROTTED OUT SCRAP CAR TO THE BEAUTY YOU SEE TODAY!

Yep , that makes good sense , We are not dealing with a GM  product , or even a mustang , where every part of the car is readily available , maybe they saved one piece of trim or something ?  Oh the magic of television . hey   Brian drove that car in high school  ! ,  Ya me too ,  just different vin # s .

I just bought a whole bunch of parts from a fellow nearby me.....turns out that it is Brian!
Very nice fellow, and very knowledgeable. I hope to be able to buy some more stuff in the next few months.
