Hello All.

Hey, on my 72, there are no screws that hold the two-piece shroud together on the steering column where it goes into the dash by the instrument cluster. I know the later ones have two screws and come apart reasonably easy with some force.

I thought these were just a push together / pry them apart deal, and then they open kind of like a clam shell to unlock the lower pins, but this thing is TIGHT.

I have really, I mean REALLY tried to pry it open, but no joy, and I am afraid I am going to knock the windshield out of the car if I pry any harder and it lets go.

Am I missing something here, I do not want to break this, but I need to get it off to work on the directional switch.

Thanks, Mike H.
