I recently acquired a 72 Gran Torino Sport and had to come here to get it happening. This forum has been helpful. I will try to post pics.

Thanks for the warm welcome! This one sat up for several years. It was painted and the original 351c is long gone. I think the motor and tranny came out of a 1980 thunderbird based on the numbers. It's a got a leak in the differential that I'm having a tough time with. The dash and taillights won't stay on. They click off after a few seconds. Lots of little gremlins in there.

Welcome!!  I have lots of family in Mobile!  Sounds like your dash and tail lights have a bad connection somewhere, usually a ground, but it should be something you can figure out.  If I remember correctly the tail lights are wired through the dash, so fixing one will take care of the other!

I had a similar problem with my lights.  I could hear a click then the lights went out.  I was my headlight switch.
