I am hoping someone will tell me what holes I need to fill in my firewall....seems previous, previous owner was an audiophile and required lots of juice for his amps. I have compared my firewall to North Elites firewall should mine look like his? Oh and for the firewall painted body color discussion this is an Atlanta 12/72 build.
I know I need to fix the weird slice at the top left power brake mount.
Thanks in Advance

not a 100% sure? is your car auto or 4 speed? mine doesn't have that round wire connection with the four wires but i'm thinking all those holes above that are added? here's a pic of my 74 if it helps (mine too had a few added holes i welded up)

My 73 automatic car only has 1 round hole straight above the wires. It's for the fastener that holds the firewall pad. On the pass. side mine only has 2 of the three holes, but since mine is a non A/c car it;s hard for me to tell which one isn't there.
i think mine doesn't have the hole on the far left of picture.

I think my firewall is unmolested. I don't have the driver's side stripped down yet, but I'll take some pics of the passenger side (A/C car) today and post them up.

Thanks Guys!
I think that for sure, the 2 holes on the seam line and the hole offset and connected to the probable clutch rod hole have to be fixed. Could the 4 wires with plug be AC related, seems to refined for a stereo tech.

OK here's what I got.

Just thinking that the oval hole was drilled factory'ish (the pedal assembly has been recently changed out and the auto pedal just hung there). Doesn't matter too much it was originally was an automatic car and the wife wants an auto......but if she gets tired of it...........Wink

Seems to be on the wrong side for the four-wire plug to be part of the A/C, but I'll dig out my engine harness from this car and see if I can trace it.

Thanks guys!
I have to bust a$$ on Saturday with the  welder in the morning so I can prime by noon and lay the base coat down by 2pm and top coat on Sunday. Temps in the 70's then back down to the 50s for awhile! I hope I can do it as then I can get the freshened rebuilt 400 in during the week and start the inner fender panels and suspension for next weekend!

I can't find a plug like that on my harness, although I may have snipped it off accidentally. I have a hole right where it would be (and a Sport cluster), so John may be correct? My 72 Montego with the standard cluster doesn't have a hole there.

Hi John and Matt,
Yes I do have the tach and guage package and I think you are right. Took a little longer to weld as when the sun went down the welding helmet stop working to well and my eyes are already having issues.
But here is what a I got with your help, It was pretty dark when I stopped and couldn't see how much more I needed to sand...talk about hard complex curves!

Dang just noticed I filled said tach/guage hole! I guess I got to redrill it...Cry

don't feel bad, i welded up one of the holes for the heater box studs Embarrassed didn't realize there was a stud there since someone never put a nut back on that one before i got the car and started tearing it all apart and fixing it all
