Hey everyone! I'm Samuel and I just joined I just recently acquired a 1972 Gran Torino and figured it would be cool and helpful to join a forum. I'm a freshman in college so unfortunately ill only be working on it on the weekends but its still gonna be fun nonetheless. Ive been around hot rods my entire life due to the fact that my uncles and grandfather own a junkyard that ive worked in since I was twelve. My Torino currently has the original 351 Cleveland in it but I'm swapping in a 460 big block out of a old Lincoln. Any tips and tricks will be much appreciated! Also if yall have any recommendations for pages to look at on here let me know and ill be sure to check them out!

Surprise!! Surprise!! The original motor once I pulled it out turns out to be a 400! If you know anyone interested in one let me know! The new floor has been welded in and I'm waiting on my new motor mounts to show up in order to drop the big block in. In the mean time though I have lots of brake sand suspension to keep me busy. Running all new brake hardline from a new booster and master to new calipers, pads, wheel cylinders, and shoes. also got new shocks all the way around and as icing on the cake new wheels and tires that I just mounted last weekend. ill try to figure out how to post pictures but I'm not the most tech oriented guy ever.

Ordered my mounts from Crites Performance. Got my headers from them also. I actually got that idea from this site! Neither one has arrived yet because I just ordered them earlier this week but I'm really looking forward to it. I'm from central Texas area about a hour north of Austin.

The 460 was out of a '68 so I gotta get new ones thought about just drilling out some holes but the headers wouldn't have fit.
