Someone is parting a 78 (I think, might be 77) Ranchero and I am wondering if the floors are compatible or if they are so different it wouldn't be worth trying? Main interest is the floor, but if the firewall is close that would be something else to think about.
Thanks Russ |

floors should be identical except for updates from 1972. when i swapped complete roofs 78 onto a 72 i found that the shoulder belt mount locations were moved and inner structure beefed up
everything through the middle is compatible just the outer skin changed

I'm going to guess a rear Ranchero floor pan is more similar to a 4 door car. I used one in my 72 but had to remove three or four inches out of the middle to shorten the pan.

ranchero pan is the same as a wagon pan thru the back seat. 4 door is same wheelbase as wagon so all 3 should be the same until the rear axle area. LTD II should work fine, as it is a reskinned Torino and not structurally like fullsize LTD.
