Hello and thanks for all the welcome comments. I drove a 1974 Gran Torino in high school, it was Saddle Bronze with a dark brown vinyl top & opera windows. Now 30 years later, I purchased a 1973 Gran Torino Sport. I cant believe how positive the response has been to this car. Nearly every time I drive it, I get a thumbs up or people stop and want to share their Torino stories with me. Its a formal roof with a medium blue metallic paint job {originally dark blue}. 351 Cleveland 2v auto, bench seat blue interior. I have added Centerline Autodrag wheels, 15x7 front, 15x8 with 275/60 15s on the rear. I added 1.5 Aluminum coil spring spacers to keep the rear end off the tires. The tire fitment guide in this forum was a big help in picking out the wheels/tires, thanks for that. Ive tried several times to upload a photo, still working on that. I am a Ford Senior Master Tech, and have worked at a Lincoln dealership as a technician since 1989. I drive my 73 whenever the weather is decent, and in the year since i bought it, I have only seen one other Torino on the road

Very nice car!  Love the wheels and stance, looks like it's ready for a street brawl.

The retro steering wheel was already installed when I bought the car, its got a comfortable grip to it. But on some sunny days the glare off the chrome spokes is a little blinding

I had the tinted headlight covers on my '76 in the early days of ownership. The car still sits as it did in 1983 when I parked it. American Racing rear wing, "Party Wagon" stenciled on the taillights, hidden bar behind the rear seat, Trans Am splitter pipes, hand painted and stenciled undercarriage, tinted windows, crazy hidden pin stripes, black accented areas under the hood and trunk lid between the bracing, small chrome steering wheel, Sanyo Bi-Amp stereo with a Billy Squier cassette, a matching hand painted Hot Wheel in the area where the clock should be, Hawaiian lei around the mirror, CB radio with PA under the hood, air shocks, hand painted grill with T O R I N O in the spaces, numerous racing decals under the hood and under the bumper... No wonder I became embarrassed driving it and parked it back then.

Several years ago, I was bored one day and decided to see how the years of storage had treated the old stereo. Put a battery in the Torino, turned the key and the stereo sprang to life! That is when I found the Billy Squier cassette in the slot. Cranked up "My Kind Of Lover" through the Audiovox front and Phase II rear speakers, kicked up both equalizers and basked in 1970-80's sound. Then "Stroke" started playing and when it hit the first bass note, the rear speakers shot out a bunch of debris and gave one glorious thump. I quietly turned the key off, patted the stereo and smiled.
