Thanks for the add. I have just acquired a 1973 Torino project. This is my first Torino. I have built many Fords in the past though.

I will once I can. I have noticed these cars are alot harder to find parts for than some other Fords.

The car was sold new right here in Valdosta Ga and the original owner had the car until 2013; it was last registered in 2000. The original owner passed away in 2013 and his family sold it to a local salvage yard, who sold it to the gentleman I bought it from. I think the salvage yard unloaded the car 5 years ago right where I bought the car 2 weeks ago with 4 flat tires. The person I bought it from said he originally bought it for parts then he decided to fix it but never got to it.  I winched it up on my trailer with 3 flat tires and the back 2 locked up.When I got it home I freed up the 2 back brakes were stuck to the drums, put a set of tires on it that would hold air and gave it a bath to wash off the mold along with half the paint job. It looks as if it had a cheap repaint in some point in its life.

The salvage yard had taken the gas tank out of it.  But I did mange to get it running on a gas can and to my surprise it actually ran quite well.  The transmission on the other had would not work at all and I suspect this is why the original owner quit driving. It has an FMX behind the 2bbl Cleveland. The worst of the rust is the drivers quarter panel. Both the fenders are bent but I think we can straighten them.

good news the 1974+ tanks are available but the filler hole is on a slightly different angle

filler tubes i guess are hard to come by though ...

i always wondered about a fuel cell in the stock tank location with a filler tube to the side?

where there's a will there's a way!

Wow! That Torino looks to be in great shape! I think that color is called Saddle Bronze Metallic, its the same color as the 74' Gran Torino I drove in high school. Yours even has the color matched hubcaps! Welcome to the forum, Sammy
