Welcome to the forum.  I am no expert of values on Ford Elites, but other guys here will likely chime in with some better idea on the value.  You should post some pictures so we can get an accurate idea of the condition of the car.

Here is a how to on posting photos:

Welcome!  It will be hard to provide input on values without pics and description.  However, unfortunately, Elites don't tend to have the value of Gran Torinos.  There doesn't seem to be as much of a following for them.  Extremely nice ones typically go for the $5000 - $7000 price range.  It would take an immaculate show car to fetch the $10k - $12k range, and then you'd have to find the perfect buyer.  It usually takes a while to sell one, as well, finding a buyer willing to pay the shipping, etc.  Good luck, and post up some pics.  We'd love to see it.

Sooner, I have been considering another Elite, however it's got to be the right color combo for me and not rotted a daily driver. Post up what you have. As far as the car sitting for a long time, that doesn't bother me as it's just something to deal with. Main thing is body and interior condition.

Elites have always suffered an issue on values because they are not a high demand car. Typical values on nice cars have held in the $4500-$7K range but honestly you will struggle to hit that kind of money.

I have seen insanely clean examples struggle to hit $5K selling price...but then again, the right car with the right options,it's hard to say.

Also, on the miles, with it being a 76 model, I'm assuming the odometer has rolled at least once. On the older cars like this, once you hit 100K they roll back over to zero miles. Not sure if you are aware but figured I'd bring that up. {Not that it's not possible to have that low of miles but typically our era cars tend to roll the odometer at least once, or in my case growing up we rolled the odometer on my mom's Elite to 348,000 miles.
