I’ve had the car for a few years, but it has been a long slow process.   Finally starting to make a little headway. The floors were trashed, but cleverly covered up. Then engine had bad lifters, and was rebuilt. I am posting some pics of my progress to date.

She looked sweet when I got her home!!

Engine was rebuilt, Glenn Zampilone was very helpful in my parts selection.

I swapped to a rally dash. Lenses were yellowed and wouldn’t clean up, so I went to Home Depot, bought some Lexan and made my own. Came out pretty nice. I used a paint heat gun to soften the Lexan until I could bend it just right. The two red dash light were non functional, and the lenses were gone, so I used an old tail light and glued it from behind. The dash lights are LED.

Nice work Bill! What prep did you use to paint the transmission? What kind of primer did you use.

Rear window has to be out on a 72. I started in the middle, worked to the front, then the back. The fastback part was slow work, but it got there.

Only had a few hours this week. Pretty much finished the interior. I have a cover for the dash. Will be away for a few weekends, so probably pretty slow for a bit.

Thanks!  It has been an adventure.  My painter and I have had a strained relationship.  He is moving way too slow for me.  However, close to the end, so I will wait it out.  Will try to post a pic of the valve covers..

I had seen the valve covers in another thread I think. Was wondering where they were going. Man, when you say red, you mean it.
