Hi
I've just bought torino elite 1976 from USA.
Unortunately it has got a broken front window.
I found in Poland this window from ford torino 1976.
Does this window fit to my torino elite 1976?
What kind of engine it has? 351W or C or modified?
How can I recognize this?
Do you know shops online with parts especially for ford torino elite?

Thanks for answers and suggestions.

Best regards from Poland.

Torino 74-76, Rachero 74-79, Montego 72-76 and Cougar 74-76 are using same front window with Ford Elite. Yes, You can use Torino 1976 front window Smile

There is VIN-code on driver side B-pillar. You can research information using VIN -code via internet.

If the upper radiator hose goes to the intake horizontally, it's a 351W or 302. (Or you got a 460)
If it goes down into to the block, it's a 351M or 400. if your VIN has an "S" in it it's a 400.
Engine sticker on the valve cover usually says 351M/400.

Welcome to the forum!   If the engine is original, check the VIN code to find out what you have.  The 5th digit indicates the engine and it should be an "H" if you have a 351.  Here is the VIN decoder on our website:

Big Bird gave a good explanation on how to ID the motor.  Like he said, look for the engine emission stick, and it should identify the engine.  Otherwise post a photo of the engine and we can help ID it.

Thank you!
I have a picture of the sticker. I think it's a 351 Windsor.

She's a Windsor.....personal opinion of mine is that this is without a doubt Fords best engine...one look at Ford Racing and their FR9 race motor and see that it is based on the Windsor will confirm my opinion.

Good luck and enjoy your Elite...I love mine.

Sold the Elite so now the hunt is on for my next "toy"...

Agreed---my favorite is the 351w, as well. My '73 GTS project is a 351c (Q-code),but my '69 Torino GT project is a 351w (M-code).

Hi John
I replaced the front window. It's new but not original.
I have only one rocker molding at the driver site.
I know that it won't be easy to buy the second...
I wonder if I should give up with this.
BTW which word is correct: molding or moulding??
Technical english is not my favourite.

It sounds just as There are civillizations in the universe :)

We produced three cars in Poland after second world war:
Warszawa, Syrena, Polonez. These were polish constructions.
I don't know how many were produced in USA but I think a lot of
Fortunately you used the same parts in more than one brand.

Hi
I'm looking for front center bumper insert pad for my elite.
The Front bumper of ford thunderbird 1973 looks similarly to elite's bumper.
no part D3SZ-17C829 for Tbird
no part D5OZ-17C829 for elite.
Does it fit or not?
Thank you
