Hi, I'm Ken. I had a 76 Elite in 1979 (bought used, but new to me). Loved the car but had to let it go in 81. It was white with a full vinyl roof and matching molding and interior in burgandy. I recently bought a 76 Elite 351w with all white top and trim. Drove it from Detroit to Buffalo. I want to change the exterior to my old car's color scheme. Any opinions?

thanks for the welcome. my next question is has anyone had success with putting a full vinyl top on as car that currently has moldings for as it is now on the back quarter top near the opera windows. if it were to be covered fully, there would be an inch gap between existing molding. has anyone tried this?

Sorry I missed your post earlier. Welcome to the forum! I agree with John, change the colour if you want to, make the car your own. I don't have any experience with the vinyl roofs though. Maybe start a new thread about the vinyl roofs. Not everyone checks the welcome mat area of the forum.
