Hi all, glad to join and I am looking forward to many discussions. I have owned a 1969 torino for many years and now have a 1976 elite with a 351w, mostly stock as a fair weather cruiser. I guess to start, I hope I am posting in the right area the correct way. To kick it off, I could use some advice on where I can find a new brake booster, and I also have brand new front rotors and pads to throw in the deal. They are for the larger police brakes that I cannot use, I think......

Regards,

Phil

Welcome Phil!  Your intro was posted in the right spot, it's all good.  We'd love to see some pics of your Elite when you have a chance to post some.  As for the boosters, they might be hard to find new.  There are several places that will rebuild them though for reasonable prices.  If you look up your car on Rock Auto, it actually has a rebuild service you can use.
There is also White Post Restorations that can rebuild boosters.  I have used them before, and they aren't the cheapest, but they do very nice work.

The larger police brakes can be used on your car, but they require some changes.  You will need to change the caliper bracket and they use the larger wheel bolt pattern of 5 x 5", so you'd have to change your wheels (and likely your rear axles to match).  The pads are the same for both the small 11" rotor and the large 12" rotor.

Post some pics of your car, we'd love to see it.  Here's a how-to thread if you need help.

Thanks all for the warm welcome! I live outside Detroit. In the burbs. To the reply about a '69...I will laugh so hard if I am the same person you are thinking of. I did have a 1969. I sold it when it was white with a black C stripe from Milford where I lived at the time. I will try to post pics soon of my Elite.....
