Thanks, life got a little wild there for a minute.

Hey, how do I get back to the "completed restoration" thread? Wanted to post my new wheels on there too (still have my Magnums in case I want to go back old school)

Thanks! They are 2014 Nissan Ultima seats. So much better than the saggy bench seat I had in there, but I wouldn't recommend them, the fitment was a bit tricky. There's probably a lot easier seats to install. There is a guy up in Camp Verde AZ doing a lot of the same modifications a few of us have done with installing a console and getting rid of the bench seat that used Firebird buckets from the mid 80's I think. They were one piece high-backs that he said bolted right in.

I've seen yours (I'm pretty sure) and they look nice. I was thinking about newer Ford focus buckets, I like the look,  but it's a four door, so they wouldn't pivot forward to accommodate getting in the back.I'd love to stay Ford, but the only two door ones I like are mustang, and newer model pullouts are expensive. I'm trying to find some without plastics or at least plastics close to same color of my interior because I'll be covering them to match the Lt. tan in the rest of the interior. I don't care how good the product is, it just never seems to stay stuck to the plastic long term . At least if the color is close to start with, if it peals or gets scuffed, it won't show so bad.

I wonder if newer Mustang seats are expensive partly because of the airbags? Since you are going to recover them anyway ripped side bolsters  or other upholstery damage from an accident wouldn't matter if you could find a set. But I've never looked for them personally so I don't know.

Good point, would be worth checking out for sure. Thanks for the thought.

I just put a set of 2014 Mustang leather seats in my '72GTS, paid about $300.00 for them. The driver bag was blown. Also bought a set of 2017 Mustang Cloth seats for a future project, paid $400.00. The driver bag was blown as well, but you can sew them up easily with $20.00 worth of thread/needles from hobby lobby. I found mine on eBay and Craigslist.

Modern power seats in our cars make a big difference, and the 2010-2014 retro mustang design matches very well with some of the vinyl designs from '72/73.
