Hi there All... Dave Cooper here, hence the ZebraC. Have just bought, and brought a long idle 1974 Gran Torino Sport S&H clone in from Canada to the United Kingdom as a project, to get stuck into, and enjoy for the coming years and figured this has to be a must join group... Thanks for the Join and will post Pics when i figure out how to. By the way how do you list the cars you own at the bottom of the posts... Thanks... DaveC....

Many thanks for the Welcome John, not sure how many of these are over here and new to the scene over here to but looking forward to plenty of Grins to the Mile once i get rolling. Wow you got a 74 S&H Car to eh, Fab.... So here's the first issue i got... guessing i need to post this in General Chat do I, or will this get picked up from here.... PS, Serious 70's car collection, oh for a Garage like that Eh...
Have recently landed a 74 S&H clone here to the UK... Been laid up for some time in Canada. Had it on the ramps to give it the once over and found not all to bad for a 45yr old Girl... But...!! Lower Rear Control Arms FUBAR'd. Any one point me in the right direction for replacements..?! Can only seem to find Spohn, Rear, Uppers AND Lowers on the WHOLE of the world-wide-thingamy-web. Loads of Fronts at dollar prices but these rears seem to be in a whole different league.... Are they same for Ranchero/Cougars or anything of that age i should look to list... Also, any one got a schematic of the rear end set up as can't see if there Two uppers and One lower....

Like Johnny said, Metco is the only other one that made rear control arms, but only the lowers. It looks like they may be sold out though. Maybe try contacting them directly: The Spohn arms are expensive, but they are the best arms available. They are designed to reduce/eliminate the bind that is naturally present in the 4 link suspension. Otherwise stock arms are fine in most cases. There are two lower arms, which are the straight stamped arm and two upper arms, which are the curved forged arms. I attached a pic to show you the basic setup. You can wait for the ones from Johnny, but if you need them sooner feel free to post an want ad to find some use ones. There is very little for front control arms, only custom ones made by the Little Shop. Hotchkis also makes some for Mid 1960's Galaxies that would fit, but I don't think anyone has tried them yet. So just be careful to make sure it actually fits your car before ordering it. Lots of parts listings are incorrect.
