I am needing a new (stock) battery tray for my 1976 Gran Torino. Can anyone confirm if this is the correct part - https://www.autokrafters.com/p-8968-battery-tray-729-torino.aspx

Would be interested if someone has one of these up for sale. Does anyone know if the later Torino's had a battery hold down from the factory? This tray looks to have holes for a hold down bracket, but doesn't seem to come with one... My Torino also did not have one, but I'm sure that doesn't necessarily mean it didn't have one originally.

I don't know. Just getting that out of the way. I have a 72 and it uses a wedge block and bolt type hold down at the bottom of the tray, not the traditional strap down type. The part above that is being sold is advertised 72-79. It's not "correct " for my year but would do the job. Looks like the bolt hole's to mount it are in the correct place.

Yes, that appears to be the correct part.  It looks just like my original one.

Ok great, I'll see if I can find a part number for the hold-down...
