Tim has just announced an optional (or multi?) bell bolt pattern for future castings, 6R80 / 10R80 and the manual boxes that share that pattern.

i don't even what those transmissions are?

It's official, we have been able to secure the financing to make the tooling changes & updates needed for the cast iron blocks.
So...here's the "theoretical" time line.
Tooling changes are estimated to take 5-8 weeks. Then Jarvie Performance Casting will cast 2 sample blocks with an estimated time of 2-3 weeks.
So in theory, we may see the new updated (with the secret upgrades as mentioned before) end of July to beginning of August. We will then machine the two sample blocks asap. If all is well, Jarvie said they are able to cast 10 blocks a week till we say "uncle"
We will have 100 casting on order (we have about 65-75 names on a waiting list currently. Once we successfully have blocks with the quality we want, we will then open it up to take deposits.
Summer is looking even better!!!

=========================

i hate to say it but these time frames seem to come & go regularly.

Interesting. Those transmissions are monsters! My C6 looks svelte in comparison. I am not a huge fan of these multi speed transmissions. One thing I like about the old 3 speed autos is the instant response. No downshifting or thinking about what to do, just squeeze the throttle and it goes.

That sort of reminds me of our army tractors. We had two levers were told you take it out in low then shift into high, we always split shifted. When they gave us the new diesels with a 600to800 shift range that sucked.
