Hello from sunny Florida.
I'm Steve McCulley. My car is a 1976 Gran Torino. I picked this one up 6 months ago. It came with a 351W, FMX, and somewhere around 355 gears. The previous owner changed out the front loader. Its missing a few trim items and what was chrome is now metallic silver.
This is my 5th Gran Torino in 40 years. They are fun to work on and fun to drive.

You got it.
So far, I've changed out the gauge cluster to the GTS cluster. The bezel came from a Mercury Cougar XR7. It looks nice. Some one cut in a Sony Xplode system. It sounds nice but the dash is cut in to accept the newer electronics. The black interior was redone and looks great. The red metallic paint is fairly new. It has 15x7.5 US Mags up front and 15x10 in the rear.
I've replaced the factory springs with Moog station wagon springs in the rear and CVPI springs up front. It sits nice with a slight rake. Almost no body roll and a very new car feel.

That's how I got it. I've made no changes yet. The 351W is all original and very tired.

polishing mags that probably haven't been done in years. Black out the overspray and replaced the rusted lugnuts and washers.

The surround was from an XR7 Cougar. The gauges were from a '74 Gran Torino Elite.

Welcome Steve!  I upgraded you earlier today and glad to see you posted some pics.   The car looks great. Those CVPI springs really make a huge difference on these cars.

If you can get a good side profile shot of your car, I will add it to the coil spring stance thread.  I don't think I have a '74-76 Torino with CVPI springs in that thread.  Did you have to cut the coil springs at all, or just install them as is?

Feel free to start a project thread on your car.

Here it is. Moog CC 803 station wagon springs in the rear with two isorators.  CVPI up front. I didn't cut the coils. The shocks are KYB Excel G heavy duty. I got the stance by using. P215/65R 15s up front and P275/60R 15s in the rear.. The mags are ET lV with us Mag center caps. I took one off to see who actually made them.

I picked up the rear wheel well lip moulding this morning. I'll be installing it today. Still looking for the front.
