Went to start ltd2 before removing bat, that I had forgot to remove. Small ground wire from bat melted in half. Wondered why it was smoking under hood, wire totally melted away?

car needs a new neg bat cable or it has a severe bad connection

just because the existing cable is somewhat recent doesn't mean it good, economy cable terminals that are stamped or crimped will hide corrosion inside. even from new sitting on the shelf when you buy it. if the connection isn't too corroded badly when you get it home new, you can sweat the crimp. flood with acid and fill with solder Wink
