Hi to all, just wondering what the two heavy gauge wires ( Black and Yellow ) that are attached to the junction post near the start solinoid are being used for. One is directly connected and the other is connected through a circuit breaker. Thanks to all who reply.

On a '75 I had with the full gauge cluster, that was the shunt for the amp meter.

I'll have to trace them back through the firewall, too late for pictures as I have taken the wiring harness out to rebuild. Let you all know when and if I figure it out............

Does your car have the gauge package? Like Steve mentions the shunt is a large heavy yellow wire. We have wiring diagrams in the Technical  Articles and Reference section of the forum.
