Hello experts. I recently put a new fuel system with a stock replacement part (gas tank, sending unit, fuel pump etc) My gas gauge works and sometimes doesn't. I switched clusters and the results are the same. the sending unit connector has seen better days (two prong style) and I was wondering where the other end of the connector is located inside the vehicle. Ive see replacements on line but it's a pigtail with about 8 inches of lead and eyehole for the ground. has anyone changed the harness?

those wires come up into the trunk and the ground attaches to the lip of the wheelhouse straight to the left of the grommet
