Hi everyone, I've spent the last year or so on the outside looking in regarding the classic car scene and am interested in pulling the trigger on one for myself. I found this ad near me for a 1968 Gran Torino GT 302 and wanted your guys' input as well as if you'd recommend this car as a good first classic to work with. I'm not a stranger to working on cars as I have a boosted and "half" built Subaru BRZ, but I really want to get into the classics as that's all I've been crazy about since I was a kid.

Yeah it was up until late last night, surprised it was taken down at 8am this morning since the dealer doesn't operate until 11am haha

Not to be a jag, but the 'Gran' was not part of the Torino line up until '72 on.  The 68-71 models were just Torino or Torino GT. The 68-69 GT's actually had 'Grand Touring' on the door cards, which was gone on the '70/71's
