Probably long gone now.

I have a black 77LTD II 2 door. She is no sport though. I bought the car out of PA a year and half ago. I really wanted to build it but am wondering if i have bitten off more than i can chew. She sat for over a decade and only had 77k miles. The fluids were awful. Motor had sludge as did the tranny. I pulled both out last fall and have not done anyhting since. Interior in pretty good shape. Front seat needs a re-do but rest is good. Some rot in the right front fender but looks good everywhere else. I'm in Norman, Oklahoma.
Send me your email address and i will get you pics.

Hey Pete, if you deside to build your own, I have the mercury Cougar version of the LTD II sport. No opera windows, bucket seats, and it's a rare non a/c car. Baby Blue, it's on my home page, www.mercurymuscle.net [EJ in Northern Michigan]

I have the car you are looking for. I just put it up for sale recently. I am out of work and this car needs money than I can't give. I have been driving it for the past three summers and take it off the road and cover it each winter. Read the description carefully and all the details you want are in there. http://syracuse.craigslist.org/cto/1651517626.html CALLS ONLY

THIS is a photo of another car, not his to show what it looks like cleaned up and with the Magnums on it.
Either way that shows there are at least 2 of them done that way.
REALLY cool 70's car!

Oh yes, there are plenty of those with that design on them. Dark blue with white stripes and red/orange pin-striping. I know a guy in Elmira, NY that has one identical and we talk to each other sometimes. There is also another one in Palermo, NY sitting in some guys yard. I was going to tell the guy from Elmira to drive his up here and then we'll both pull into the third guy's driveway with all the same car. That would freak him out some huh?
Correct about the ad. Mine would need fresh paint and the rims re-finished to look that shiny. Wouldn't take much however because mine is solid with only one dent. Here are two pictures of the Elmira car at the syracuse nationals car show

Thanks for the pictures. This car really looks good. I like the sport look on such a large 2 doors. Also, this is a killer front end with these two story headlights. I found this ad surfing the web... |

Always nice to have an excuse to post this pic! Had this one in the mid/late-'90s...
The car ran a best time of 13.75 @ 101...that day I was in the 14.20s, IIRC. The Torino in the other lane was running 10.60s!

I found that picture rather interesting as well. Being that I have the same car minus the horsepower. I was thinking headers with duals and a mild cam with peformance intake. Not sure what carb would be good for all that I mentioned but I don't wanna completely throw my mileage out the window. Bad enough that they didn't have overdrive so I pretty much stick to the back roads. Better cruisin there anyway. I started taking boxes of parts from my storage today to get ready for the final goodbye(sale) and I stopped and put them back. I just couldn't do it

I'll drop the price of mine to $2000 if one of you ford guys buy it. It has delay wipers, buckets/console, sport gauges, 4 new tires, new headliner, ect-ect.
Excuse the mud, got it stuck in back yard taking it off blocks from storage.

Wish I could afford the 2K PLUS the shipping would be $700-1000.
I shipped a car from Ohio to here for $700.

Oh yeah, she's worthy. Too bad no overdrive, that kills the mileage. The previous owner drove it up to visit his Mom here in syracuse from virginia beach(where the car came from) many times he said. I drove it up to the adirondack mountains last summer and it cruises real nice on the back roads with the fresh heavy duty suspension and new tires. Brakes are still excellent and stop it smoothly but you have to think about where you are going to put the huge amount of extra parts that come with this car.

I would think there is PLENTY of room in the trunk and back seat for all the extra parts!?
